Before and after care advice

Before Your Reiki/Coaching Session:
As you decide to book your Reiki or Transpersonal Coaching session, you may begin to notice your body starting to relax and rebalance naturally. This is a positive sign, as your body is preparing for a shift towards balance. Here are a few tips to help you prepare:

  • Drink plenty of water to keep your body hydrated. Hydration supports the body's natural detoxification processes and helps maintain optimal function during the session.

  • Avoid caffeine and alcohol, as they can interfere with the body’s ability to relax and may disrupt the balance you are seeking.

  • If you’re feeling a little off on the day of your session, that’s perfectly fine. It’s simply your body beginning to detox. This is an ideal time for a calming session that helps reset your energy. Treat yourself with care.

  • Give yourself enough time to arrive early for your session, whether in person or online. Arriving a little early allows you to settle in and prepare your mind and body for the experience.

  • Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes or bring something that helps you feel relaxed. Loose clothing allows for better energy flow during the session.

  • Breathe deeply! For today, let relaxation be your intention. Deep breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system, helping to calm the mind and body.

After Your Reiki/Coaching Session:
After your session, it’s important to rest and relax to allow the full benefits to integrate. This allows your body to process the shift that has taken place, supporting physical and emotional healing:

  • Drink plenty of pure, non-carbonated water. This helps flush out any toxins released during the session and supports cellular hydration.

  • Avoid caffeine and alcohol, as they can hinder the body’s natural process of recalibration and balance.

  • Maintain a healthy, balanced diet. Proper nutrition supports your body’s healing processes and helps maintain energy levels.

While you may experience deep relaxation and upliftment, sometimes other sensations may arise as well. These can be signs that your body is rebalancing itself. Some people may experience:

  • The need to sleep or rest more than usual: Rest allows your body to integrate the changes from the session and supports the body’s healing processes.

  • A mild headache: This is often a result of releasing tension or toxins. Drink more water to help flush out any residual effects.

  • Feeling emotional: As energy shifts, suppressed emotions can surface. This is a natural part of the healing process, and allowing these feelings to emerge can lead to greater emotional clarity.

  • Increased urination: This is a natural response to the body’s detoxification process.

  • A runny nose: This may also be a sign of detoxification, as your body clears out excess waste and impurities.

These are all signs that your body is returning to balance and healing. However, it’s also completely normal not to experience any of these.
